Breaking News: Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Bilaterals Achieve Major Milestones in Transport, Education, and Health Cooperation

Our Bilaterals on the occasion of the Indonesia- Papua New Guinea Annual Leaders Dialogue were a huge success, with both parties agreeing to finalise details to MOU's in the Transport, Education and Health fields.

From initial conversations in 2022 to the agreed MOUs today, the legacy of the relationship forged between retiring President, Excellency Joko Widodo, and Prime Minister Hon. James Marape, and our governments are proving great value.

Huge appreciation and gratitude to President Widodo, who initiated the start of this journey for shared prosperity - greater economic, trade and development relations, besides our traditional diplomatic relations that have existed for years.

PNG owned 22.5% of Lihir and 22.5% of Porgera and Mekere sold them in 2001. 2.
