In a remarkable achievement for Papua New Guinea's scientific community, Dr. Yalinu Poya Gow FHEA has been selected as a member of the prestigious Global Young Academy (GYA) for the term spanning from 2024 to 2028.

The Global Young Academy, renowned as a beacon of excellence in international scientific circles, serves as a platform for young research talent from across six continents to drive interdisciplinary dialogues, strategic projects, and collaborations with global organizations.

Membership into the GYA is fiercely competitive, with candidates selected based on outstanding qualifications, scientific prowess, and a strong commitment to societal service. The academy, capped at 200 members, specifically targets Ph.D. holders in scientific disciplines who are in the nascent stages of their academic careers and fall within the age bracket of 30 to 40 years.
