 Genesis 1:26-27 shares an important idea that humans are made in the image of God. 

This means we have a special connection to the divine God. 

This sets a standard for our dignity and responsibilities. 

Because we're created to reflect God, we are called to take care of the world and respect our own value as human beings. 

 God's Word encourages us to think about how we live, how we treat others, and how we look after our environment, to develop the qualities that make us truly human.
